RAPID RENEWAL INFORMATION
Rapid Renewal is an Internet service available through the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. Rapid Renewal offers a step-by-step process for renewing vehicle registrations.
To get started, simply visit the Secretary of State's website at www.SoSonline.org and select Rapid Renewal from the list of services. Easy to follow instructions will assist you in renewing your vehicle registration.
Once your online renewal application is completed, you may print a confirmation page as verification of your transaction. You will receive your new registration form and license plate decals in the mail within 7 business days.
In order to renew your registration online, you will need to have the following items available before you begin:
Your current vehicle registration
Your current proof of insurance
Your checkbook
a printer
The fees associated with your renewal online are paid by electronic checking. You will enter the routing information which appears at the bottom of your paper check to identify your bank and account number. The amount you specifiy will be deducted from your account.
An added service available through Rapid Renewal is an e-mail message to remind you to renew your registration next year.
